The news coverage of the Resistance Front plays a crucial role in shaping public opinion toward the ideology of the Islamic Revolution, and resistance journalism is considered a novel genre in contrast to peace journalism. The purpose of this study is to formulate the optimal processes for news covering the Resistance Front. To achieve this, data were collected through a qualitative research method and in-depth interviews with experts in communication and news. The interviewees were selected using purposive sampling and a snowball approach, drawn from communication scholars, news editors in editorial offices, and field reporters specializing in this area. Following the extraction of subcategories and their classification into various categories, the attributes of conviction, spirituality, ethics, professionalism, culture, knowledge, communication, appearance, gender, and life issues were grouped under the core category of individual indicators. The core category of organizational indicators was dedicated to the characteristics of media managers and officials, policy-making, and administrative structures. Image, audio, and editing features were included in the core category of formal indicators. In contrast, general features, news values, news format, framing, censorship, control or deception, coverage of defeats, and word creation were placed under the core category of content indicators. Accordingly, news covering the Resistance Front comprises both inherent and acquired qualities, framed within the broader policies and aspirations of the Islamic Revolution and formulated by media norms. Based on the findings of this research, ensuring a professional and well-trained workforce—from field reporters to editors and decision-makers—is essential for effectively covering the Resistance Front.
